Results from second survey in our continuing series on the impact of COVID 19 on businesses in regional WA indicate that there has been a slight change in sentiment from being completely overwhelmed and frightened to a mild level of acceptance and understanding of the unprecedented economic circumstance we are in. Having said that, businesses are still extremely worried and in some regional areas the impact has been far worse than others. They are also worried about the months ahead.
Good Afternoon,
As we all try and grapple with the rapidly changing circumstances due to the impact of COVID 19, it is heartening to see the way our members and all regional business communities have banded together, and the community leadership our members are showing. These are very difficult and uncertain times, and we are all feeling nervous and overwhelmed. However, it is exactly at times like this that we all need to stick together and stay connected and engaged.
To Our Regional Business Community,
Most us of are feeling very uncertain and somewhat nervous. The landscape is changing at an extremely rapid pace as public authorities work hard to put measures in place to try and stop the spread of COVID 19, as well as minimise the social and economic impacts.
RCCIWA Stakeholder and Member Engagement – February
A very busy and productive month of stakeholder meetings, catching up with members and member representation. February activity included:
Draft WA Aviation Strategy 2020 – Open for comments until March 27th
RCCIWA Stakeholder and Member Engagement – January
Like all of our members we have hit the ground running and have taken the opportunity over January to meet with several stakeholders and engage with members. January engagement includes:
RCCIWA Members Forum – June 18th and 19th 2020, Perth – Save the Date!
Planning has already commenced for the first biannual RCCIWA Members Forum, to be held in Perth at Parliament House on Thursday June 18th and at a venue to be confirmed soon in Perth on Friday June 19th. For this first Forum of 2020, we are again looking at what technology we may be able to utilise so that members unable to make it to Perth, can still participate and contribute. We will keep you posted on this.
